Johnson Scholarship (Award Amount: $1,000)<br><em>Only available to active members of MS Southern First Eccl. Jurisdiction &#8211; District #1 <\/em><br><\/li><li>Helen T. Martin Scholarship  (Award Amount: $1,500)<br> <em>Available to all active members of MS Southern First Eccl. Jurisdiction <\/em><br><em>For education and related majors only.<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Review Process:<\/strong>&nbsp;All applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Panel.&nbsp; The high school graduates will be given first consideration, followed by college students (undergraduate) unless specified in scholarship requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Award Date:\u00a0<\/strong>Winners\u00a0will be awarded at\u00a0MS Southern First Eccl. Jurisdiction &#8211; District #1 Meeting during\u00a0the District Missionary&#8217;s\u00a0Night service.  Applicants must be present and may be asked to present their essays during the District meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>General Scholarship Requirements:<\/strong><br>Scholarships require the applicant to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Proof of Current Cumulative GPA of\u00a03.0\u00a0<\/li><li>An active member of his\/her local church<\/li><li>Demonstrate leadership and community service<\/li><li>Two letters of recommendation, one from the pastor. The letter must <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">not<\/span> be from a family member.<\/li><li>Show proof of\u00a0college enrollment\u00a0<\/li><li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Submit application by\u00a0midnight September <\/strong><\/span><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">4, 2022<\/span><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">All applications\u00a0must be received online\u00a0by midnight of the provided deadline date for the applicant to be considered for the scholarship.\u00a0 Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/li><li>Both letters of recommendation and essay must be typed and submitted as a JPG, PDF or MS Word document. Anything illegible will be discarded.  <\/li><li>Essay must be no fewer than 800 and no more than 1600 words in length and must be typed and double-spaced.<\/li><li>Letter of acceptance from a college or university<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dorothy S. Johnson Scholarship Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The recipient\u2019s parents are asked to pledge a contribution toward the cause.<\/li><li>Application&#8217;s church must contribute as a scholarship foundation sponsor.<br>Please verify with your church if they plan to contribute before submitting an application.<\/li><li>An active member of a church within the MS Southern First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Helen T.
